Gideon Knights Freedom Church of Jesus Christ is a Pentecostal congregation in the heart of Brownsville, Brooklyn. We believe the same Spirit that moved at Pentecost still moves today — saving, healing, and setting people free. Our doors on Herzl Street are open to everyone the Lord sends our way.
We are not a perfect people; we are a redeemed one. Come and find Spirit-filled worship, honest preaching of the Word, and a family that will know you by name. Bring your burdens, your questions, and your praise — there is room at this altar for all of it.

The Spirit still moves
We are Pentecostal: we expect the Holy Spirit to fill, to gift, to heal, and to lead — not as history, but as a present reality every time we gather to seek His face.
The Word is our foundation
Scripture is God's true and living word — preached plainly, taught honestly at Bible study, and trusted as the lamp for our feet and the standard for our lives.
Everyone is family here
Across age, background, and story, the table is wide on purpose. You don't have to clean yourself up first — come as you are, and let the love of God meet you where you stand.

Our Pastor
Pastor Melinda Carroll
For as long as I can remember, Gideon Knights Freedom Church has been my home. At a young age, I gave my life to the Lord and have sought to serve Him ever since. I was blessed to grow up watching faithful examples of dedication to God's work, and it is an honor to continue that legacy.
Even through life's challenges, God has remained faithful, strengthening me every step of the way. My prayer is that everyone who walks through our doors feels the love of Christ and the warmth of a true family. Gideon Knights is more than a church — it is a home where all are welcome and faith can grow.
